Let’s be honest, the idea of a boudoir session can feel a little intimidating at first. Almost every woman I talk to has questions, and trust me, I’ve heard them all. From “What do I wear?” to “What if I feel awkward?” you are absolutely not alone.

That’s why I’ve put together my 15 most frequently asked questions to give you a clear, honest look at what it’s really like to prepare for a boudoir session with me. Consider this your behind-the-scenes guide to feeling confident, prepared, and excited before you ever step into the studio.

Do you share my images?

Your privacy is always our top priority. Boudoir is deeply personal, and you’re always in control of how your images are shared. During your Reveal & Ordering Appointment, after you’ve seen your photos, you’ll choose whether or not to sign a model release. You have four options:

✨ No Release: Your images stay completely private. We don’t share them at all.

✨ Anonymous Release: We may share your images, but your full face will never be shown.

✨ Anonymous Plus Release: Just like the anonymous release, with one bonus: once you receive your digitals, you can heart any full-face images you’re comfortable sharing, and only those selected images may be shared with your face visible.

✨ Full Release: This allows us to share your images as part of our portfolio and marketing.

A few things to know:
• We never share full nudity publicly.
• If you allow sharing, you can choose a release date, so nothing is posted before a wedding, anniversary, or special moment.

Your comfort always comes first. Our job is to make sure you feel safe, confident, and celebrated the entire experience.

Do I have to wear lingerie?

Not at all! Lingerie is optional, not required. While we do have a client closet with nearly 300 pieces ranging from XS–5XL available for clients who prepay for a collection, what you wear is all about you and your vibe.

Boudoir doesn’t have to mean lacy little things. Cozy sweaters, button-downs, bodysuits, denim, tees, sheets… there are so many ways to create a stunning session that feels authentic to your personality.

Is hair and makeup included?

Yes, always! Hair and makeup are included in all of our luxury boudoir sessions. We believe your session should feel pampering from start to finish, and this is where that magic begins.

Our incredible hair and makeup team will help bring your vision to life, whether you’re going for soft, natural “I woke up like this” vibes or full-on glam.

All we ask is that you arrive with a clean face and dry hair.

Do you have payment plans?

Yes, we do! We offer several flexible payment options to make your boudoir experience easy and stress-free!

Your session fee is due at booking to reserve your shoot date. For products and digitals, we can set up a prepayment plan toward your desired collection leading up to your session.

We accept all major credit cards, Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm, PayPal Credit, and cash!

We’re happy to walk you through all of this during your consult so you can choose the option that feels best for you.

Where should I buy outfits?

We’ve got you covered! Leading up to your session, we send out a curated list of our top 20 favorite places to shop, because the best place really depends on the look and vibe you’re going for.

Some client favorites include Amazon, Shein, Temu, Torrid, and Forever Yours, but those are just a few options. And remember, amazing outfits don’t have to be expensive. It’s all about fit, confidence, and how you feel in it.

Do you Photoshop my images?

Yes… and no. We do magazine-quality retouching, including smoothing skin, correcting lighting, and minimizing temporary blemishes or distractions. That said, we believe less is more.

Our approach focuses on expert posing, flattering angles, and beautiful lighting to highlight your natural shape and features. Boudoir is about confidence and self-love, not erasing who you are.

You’ll still look like you, just the most radiant, confident version of yourself.

What type of print products do you have?

Most of our clients choose an album to showcase their images, and for good reason. Our luxury albums are absolutely stunning. They’re hand-bound in Portugal, made with thick, high-quality materials, and designed to last for years. Think heirloom-quality, not something that gets tucked away in a drawer.

We also offer a variety of other beautiful options, including folio boxes, wall art, mounted prints, bedside art, folios, and more. Whether you want something private, something display-worthy, or a mix of both, we’ll help you choose pieces that fit your vision perfectly.

Do you offer digitals?

Yes, we do! Most of our collections include corresponding digitals. Our higher collections offer both color and black & white versions, or even all digitals.

You can also add all digitals to any album or folio box from our à la carte menu. That way, you can enjoy your images both in print and digitally, however you choose.

I'm freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

First things first… nerves are completely normal. In fact, most first-time clients walk in nervous as hell. And honestly? That’s part of the experience. If you weren’t a little nervous, that would be the weird part.

Those jitters usually start melting away during hair and makeup. And if they don’t? The very first sneak peek on the back of my camera usually does the trick. That moment when you say, “Wait… that’s ME?!” Yep. That’s when everything clicks and it’s smooth sailing from there.

For my seasoned babes who’ve done boudoir before, they come in ready to rock like it’s just another confident, empowered day.

How many outfits should I bring?

All of our full boudoir sessions include 3 outfit changes. If you prepay for a collection, you can unlock fun bonuses like additional outfits, access to our Client Closet, our luxury Angel Wings, and more!

My golden rule? If you’re on the fence about an outfit, bring it! It’s always better to have an outfit and not need it than to leave it at home and wish you had.

I’ve had clients walk in with nothing but the clothes on their back and happily shop the Client Closet as a Standard Bonus. I’ve also had clients show up with 30+ pieces because choosing is hard and everything feels cute. Both are totally fine.

Should I get to my shoot early?

Nope! Your session day is all about you, so arriving right on time is perfect. If you happen to get here early, please wait to come into the studio until no more than 10 minutes before your start time, as we may still be putting final touches on the space.

Our hair and makeup artist arrives at the same time you do, so while she’s getting set up, we’ll chat through your outfits and pull anything you’d like from the client closet. Easy, relaxed, and right on schedule.

Where is your studio located?

Our in-home studio is located in Cabot, Arkansas. It’s filled with beautiful natural light that pours in during sessions, helping your skin glow, your hair shine, and colors pop naturally, without the need for heavy editing.

Every detail of the space has been thoughtfully curated, from the velvet blue couch to the vintage mirror and all the greenery in between, creating a cozy, elevated setting that feels just as special as the experience itself.

I don’t know how to pose. Will you help?

Absolutely! You don’t need to know a single thing walking in. We guide you through everything step by step. From facial expressions and where to look, to what to do with your hands, feet, and even how to stand. You’ll never be left wondering what to do next.

How long does the shoot last?

Most clients spend about 3 hours in the studio from start to finish on the day of their session. This includes professional hair and makeup, outfit selection, and your fully guided photo session.

Within about a week, we’ll have your reveal and ordering appointment, where you’ll see all of your images fully edited and choose your favorites!
