I’m Tabetha!

I am the owner and photographer of Tabetha Rae Photography. Growing up I was always around other family members that liked to take photos of everyone and everything, so having a camera in your face was nothing new to me. I would on occasion turn my head, put my hand out, etc. as I didn’t always appreciate my photo being taken. I did however enjoy taking a few photos here and there of scenery or individuals being in their natural habitat, but never to the extent of my family members.

As I have gotten older, I started to understand the importance of these photos and what they represented, a point in time. As if nothing else were important, these photos could bring me back to that faint memory of Christmas when a herd of elk were out in the pasture, and through all the chaos of making breakfast for an army, we all stopped and admired the beauty nature had presented us. Or those amazing Halloween costumes our parents would dress us up in that we thought were “so cool” at the time.

Fast forward to a few years ago I was scrolling through social media and came across a boudoir photographer showcasing her work, and that she does it to empower woman to love themselves. I took the leap of faith and booked a photoshoot! I wanted this to be a way to remember my 20’s. I wasn’t doing it for my husband, I was doing it for me, so that I give myself the love and support that he has always given me.

I’ll be honest, leading up to my shoot I had all the emotions under the rainbow. What if they don’t look good. What if I can’t do the “sexy face”. Is this really worth it? And I’ll tell you,

Honestly the hardest part about the whole shoot was not buying Every. Single. Photo. I came out of that photo reveal being like DAAAAANG GIRL, now I see what my husband sees, and it was a huge confidence booster.

Now here I am wanting to share that same experience with you. I want you to leave my studio knowing that you are good enough, and you are worth it, regardless of what anyone else may tell you. Self-love may be one of the hardest things to accomplish, but it is also one of the most fulfilling. Let’s take that next step together!
